Certificates of Deposit and IRA Certificate Of Deposit
Solera Bank offers two types of Certificates of Deposit (CDs) or Individual Retirement Certificate of Deposit (IRA CDs) for customers seeking a longer-term FDIC-insured account that earns an attractive interest on a minimum opening deposit of $1,000 (for a standard CD) or $500 (for an IRA CD).
Cornerstone Fixed-rate CDs
A sensible option for customers seeking predictable interest earnings over the entire term, the Cornerstone fixed-rate CD can be opened for terms of between 91 days and three years. Once the Cornerstone CD is opened, no additional deposits are allowed to the account.
Cornerstone Fixed-rate IRA CDs
An IRA is a retirement plan designed for use in those later years when you want to enjoy the quality of life you worked so hard to achieve. IRAs can save tax dollars now and earn tax deferred interest for more spendable dollars later. The Cornerstone fixed-rate IRA CD can be opened for terms of one or two years. Additional deposits of a minimum of $50 are allowed during the term.
Opportunity Variable-rate CDs and Opportunity Variable-rate IRA CDs
The interest rate associated with the Opportunity Variable-rate CD and IRA CD varies throughout the term of the CD, as determined by Solera National Bank. When opening an Opportunity CD or IRA CD, the customer chooses a fixed term of either one year or two years. At the customer's option, additional deposits -- at least $500 for a standard variable-rate CD or at least $50 for an IRA CD - will be accepted to this CD during its term.
